Among image generation tools, Midjourney is the most widely discussed. Other notable options include OpenAI's DALL-E and Stable Diffusion, which can generate both images and videos. For beginners, Midjourney is recommended because it offers detailed step-by-step guidance and lets users watch other people's images being generated in real time, which encourages idea exchange.

Midjourney runs on the Discord communication platform. Subscriptions range from about $10 to $120 per month and are based on GPU usage time; the Basic plan at $10 provides 200 minutes of image generation.
